About 20 years late, but so far Band of Brothers is pretty good.
Got a raise and a promotion today. Won’t go into effect till October but it feels good to be acknowledged for the hard work I’ve done.
I’m working on my senior capstone project and so far I’ve got this. 
In the end it will be a site that takes an origin and destination address and the date of travel and then computes the miles between.
Finally getting around to watching Only Murders in the Building Season 3. So excited to see Streep. She is truly one off if not the best actor of our time.
Heading home on the train from a long day in LA. Love this mode of transportation. Wish it went more places local to me than just the major metro areas.

I should have been doing this from the beginning.
I went to Urgent care on March 28th after a negative at-home CoVid test. The Dr. I saw, Dr. Du, diagnosed me with the flu. Boy was he wrong. He sent me home with an inhaler for my shortness of breath, TamaFlu, and instructions to drink lots and rest.
I tested positive the next day, March 29, 2023.
I called Urgent care on the 29th, and my GP trying to get a prescription for PaxloVid, but was told I had to come in and would probably not be given a prescription.
On March 31st, I started to notice that what I was coughing up had a pink tint to it with chunks of baby poop green “stuff”, and what I was blowing out my nose had an almost red hue. After calling the nurse help line, who even though was giving me wrong information felt like the first person to actually care that I got better, I was told to call urgent care when opened at 7am the next morning. For a “Telehealth appointment”.
On April 1st, I did as I was told and then was told that urgent care doesn’t offer Telehealth and I needed to come in even though I was obviously positive. When I got there I called in as instructed and was told to come to a separate door where I would be seen. I was rushed into an isolation room and the same Dr, Dr. Du, happened to be there. He was in and out in less than 2 minutes. Seemed almost scared instead of the guy I spoke to just a few days earlier who saw me without a mask to day had a full gown, mask, and face shield on. He prescribed me PaxloVid, and sent me home. Nothing for my cough that at his point I feel is doing irreparable damage to my throat and lungs.
I’m sleeping in 1-2 hour shifts. With coughing fits difficulty breathing in between.
I wear a series 6 Apple Watch daily, and while it pains me to break my streak it’s helped with monitoring my heart rate and blood oxygen. Apple states

I’ve spoken the nurses and doctors over the years since I got and they all have told me that it’s “close enough” for home use. So far I’ve been 91+ while sleeping, and 95+ while awake and upright.
I’ve got a lot of school work due at 11pm PDT tonight, and I’m not sure if I’m going to get it done.
I find myself at the intersection of New York and Lugonia in Redlands, CA quite often. I’ve started taking photos to try to document the open field. I feel like this is the year it stops being open. :(
The contractor doing the remodel of our bathroom didn’t show up today. :/ finally got a text at 4pm that he got tied up at another cities permit office. Just finish our bathroom.

Finished up the current week for IFT 366 TCP/IP and Routing. Should probably start next week’s labs as there are almost 10 of them.
IFT 401 Capstone pt 1 is going as smoothly as I thought it would. The professor thinks it’s too much work and would require a massive backend. Really it’s a minimum of 2 tables in a DB. The first is for the list of users, the second is the data associated with that user. From there it’s API calls out to google maps and filling in the data in the tables. Shouldn’t be too hard, but then I’m not entirely sure what I’m doing.
side-note: Really wish I’d been blogging my classes as I’d finished each mnodule but the school really drives home plagiarism and at 2.5k a class I can’t really risk it.
I also need to get down to Floor and Decor and return some of the extra mortar and tile we bought. Should probably wait till the grout is done first so we know exactly what can be returned.
Update on the bathroom. Tile is in. The guys worked 14 hours yesterday and got everything but the grout done. It looks awesome. Can’t wait to go back to 2 bathrooms in this house.
